đź“ŚÂ Introduction
We decided to use our learning and feedback from the second class to improve on the homemade switch we submitted the previous week.
In week 2, we were given a variety of materials to work with for our team project, and we learned the basics of using an Arduino.
đź“ŚÂ Feedback & Ideation
We presented our work in front of our classmates and professors and got some great feedback and interesting ideas along the way.
Feedback & Insight on the first assignment
- Accessibility: What if we could add additional interactivity like sounds or vibrations to make it user-friendly for kids with disabilities?
- Variety of shapes: We made it so that the LEDs could only be turned on by using their respective shapes - circles, triangles, and squares - but the circle shape was actually enough to turn on the square’s LED. How could we improve this?
- Insight: Kids don't always do what we want them to do. It's hard to design in anticipation of them. To help kids have fun and stay safe, let's give them simple but clear instructions.
Ideation
We brainstormed ideas and selected them together.
