Project Name: OctoCatch Fish Puzzle
Team: Hannah, Vanessa, Letitia, Ziai
Date: 09/10/2023
In our very first physical computing class, we explored the essentials of electrical circuits. Guided by our initial lessons, our task was to fashion an object equipped with LEDs, operable via a DIY switch. We sought to infuse the project with a sense of enjoyment and creativity!
During our initial meeting, we recapped our first-week lessons in Physical Computing and enhanced our understanding by reproducing the demonstrations presented by Professor Viola. Interestingly, when I searched on YouTube, I realized that the content we covered was something taught in Korean middle school during the second grade. (I was surprised at myself for not remembering this 😂).
Study hard 🔥🔥🔥
Create as many switches as we can!
Building upon our understanding of basic electrical circuits, we kicked off by crafting a rudimentary prototype on a breadboard. We embarked on a journey of creative exploration, each proposing three ideas for the project.

Vannesa’s Brainstorming
Leticia’s Brainstorming
Ziai’s Brainstorming
We gathered various ideas on different topics. Ultimately, the idea we chose was inspired by the Chinese Checker Game.
